Good luck to the new class of transfers. Going from a slacker stoner to a UCLA hopeful sure is a beautiful thangg... gotta love california
That said,

SMC TO UCLA

Anthro
3.5-3.7
IGETC: done by spring

Few questions:
1.) I failed a few classes last spring due to personal reasons. Will that kill my chances considering i make them up this fall?
2.) I kinda took it slow my first year and im making it up right now. Ive completed 24 trans units and i have about 19 this semester. Does that look bad? I took 9 units over the summer and got a 4.0, so im making a late surge but i could handle.

Happy trails

I'm wondering whether my stats will be enough to compete with community college students who get priority. However, my intended major (Geography/Environmental Studies) is not impacted so I'm hoping for the best.

Stats:
-Schools: UCI to UCLA
-GPA: 3.75-3.76
-Pre-reqs: hopefully completed if time conflicts don't screw me over during winter quarter
-UCI's GE: requirements will be completed
-ECs: Volunteer events, Editorial team for an environmental organization, CALpirg member of an environmental campaign.

Sweet, TAP should help you greatly, but try to bring up your GPA. As for essays, I'm going to try and start them soon.
