Major pre req's that don't articulate

Right now I am a history major and have taken all my history pre req's. However I want to change my major to Classical Civilizations. At Berkeley they do not have any major pre req's that articulate from California Community Colleges for this major. This would not seem like a problem if Berkeley admitted students based on major but since you have to compete against students who are applying to the same department (humanities) that have there major pre req's done I feel that I am at a disadvantage against since I can not complete my pre req's. Do you guys think this will be a problem and hinder my admission chances?

I am in the same situation, my major is philosophy but none of my courses articulate. I talked to the UCLA rep and he said that if your school does not offer the courses they will not hold it against you sicne they realize there was nothing you could do about it. But that is UCLA, Berkeley might be different.
