| It is good. Jk. The question is very broad, could you be a little bit more specific? |

| For this year, you were able to fill out and submit your UC application between Nov 1st - Nov 30th.
The application was pretty straight forward and easy to use. Make sure you spend time on your personal statement.
Try and submit before Nov 30th, because the application website WILL crash that night.
So, to answer your question...it was pretty good! |

Actually I was wondering this stuff too, but it shall remain a secret. |

| What do we see first: “A new Application has been added to your review!”
What Order: Top to bottom.
Room Configuration: You’ve seen one cubicle you’ve seen them all.
Group?: We are commonly caught singing “All by my self….”
I don’t think it is secret, however each campus is going to have it own review process and the applications, depending on the type of application (Sophomore, CCC Junior, 4-year Junior, 2nd bachelors) will have a different process. A big part of transfer applications is to evaluate the course work to find out the transferable GPA and if the student has meet the campuses requirements. |

| UCD admissions,
I thought I read somewhere that UCD looks at overall GPA not UC GPA for admissions. Is this true? |

| I believe that most engineering programs regardless of which UC use overall GPA not UC transferable. I could be mistaken though. |

| UCD Admissions,
How much of the evaluation process is completed before the application update? I ask this because as of right now I might not have 60 units but I plan to take an extra class in the spring (not listed on the original app). My proposed spring schedule (on the original app) will have a couple slight differences (1 extra class and 1 other class listed will be different) |

| Lots of questions, I hope this answers them all:
UC Davis will use both cumulative GPA and transferable GPA. The cumulative GPA is used to preliminary screen applicants; for example if your cumulative GPA is a 1.5 most likely you will not meet our selection requirements of 2.8 or higher and you will not be selected for admission. Student who are in a gray area where it is possible they might meet the selection requirements are reviewed. If you pass the preliminary review then we will evaluate your application and determine your UC transferable GPA which is used for the UC Davis selection process. The transferable GPA is calculated from all courses from your academic record we determine are UC transferable, including engineering majors. As much of the review not including this academic year, 07-08 for fall 2008 applicants, is completed since prior term information should not change. We will complete the review once we receive the application update form with the current 2007-2008 information.
You might ask, what if my Cumulative GPA is low but the transferable GPA is high and Davis didn’t review my application? That is what the appeals process is available for. |

| So how will they calculate the cumulative GPA ?Which course is considered in the cumulative GPA? because IT most like transferable GPA.
As you said above, UC Davis will not include the Fall grade in the cummulative GPA is that correct?
What is the appeals process?
will they transfer the CC units to the UC Davis units?
As I had 5 in my US HIstory 1900, Should I change to 3? |

| The cumulative GPA is calculated from every course you listed on the application with a grade, which should be every course you completed prior to fall 2007. The transferable GPA should be calculated from every UC transferable course you have completed including fall 2007.
The appeals process is available for students who are not admitted and feel that they have new and compelling information that is available and ask that their application be reviewed again including this information.
I’m not sure what you mean about transferring CC units to Davis units. If you are asking if we convert semester units to quarter units, since UC Davis is on the quarter system; yes we will. But this conversion doesn’t affect anything. Again I’m confused on what a 5 is for your US history course. If you have 5 semester units for that course it would be 7.5 quarter units (1 semester unit = 1.5 quarter units). I hope that answers your questions. |

| Can someone tell me of my situation?
Major: Psychology
Applied: UCLA, UCB, UCSD
(I know they are a bit of a reach, but I already applied after senior year and gotten into what would be my "safety" schools)
I got a D and an F in two UCLA Extension courses taken at night. I took those courses during my education gap in which I was working fulltime. After that quarter, I enrolled in a JCC, in which I started going to school fulltime instead. I explained this in my application...
I was told by counselors that UCLA Extension courses do not count... I put the grades in my app, and so my cumulative GPA should be (I'm hoping) at least 3.0. And I haven't retaken these courses yet.
I was also told by a UCLA rep that they only look at transferable GPA???
My UC transferable GPA is 3.7.
Am I doomed for another year? |
