Question Regarding Schools Attended.

On the UC application it asks us to list all the schools we've attended beginning with the high school we graduated from.

Do we have to list community colleges we've attended while still in High School?

I'm leaning toward "it's not necessary", but I'd like to make sure.

It is required that you list all schools, including community colleges you've attended while in high school. It is not optional. If you get caught omitting any schools, you could have an admission offer withdrawn or an earned degree rescinded! Colleges assume applicants understand the meaning of the word "all" and do not accept excuses that the term is in any way vague or open to interpretation.

Well, damn.

Should I just add the school to the "Application Update" page, or do something else?

still, I maintain the phrasing on that portion of the app is a bit misleading... I mean I took the course prior to graduating...

Well, thanks for the reply.

UCLA does not require cc courses to be listed during high school ONLY IF they were taken to make up for a non-passing AP class. I asked a UCLA rep last year who visited my cc, and called the undergraduate office to confirm. This is something not many people know.

Berkeley wants everything to be included.

Whether you omit your (make up) courses or not, they will find out anyway if you're accepted, as they will request high school transcripts.

Thank you so much BanditGirl

You have no idea how good this info sounds as I'm just barely recuperating from a bout with the flu (yay for 3:00 A.M nose bleeds! )

I had already gone ahead and added the info on the application update for fear of looking as if I were trying to hide something.

Thanks Again!
(Please excuse any deficiency in readability or coherence, I'm still very much sick)

subzero,

I remember that it says even in that case (registered but never took class) you still have to list it.

The answer to any "what if...?" or "even if...?" question is yes, you must list it! lol good luck

I know, that would be ridiculous. I have applied to like 10 community colleges where I haven't taken a class, and I can't even remember which ones.

If the campus has any record of you attending (transcripts), even if the records show all W's or is blank, it must be reported as a school that you attended. If you contact the campus and they say they have no records of you attending (transcripts), even if you applied, then you did not attend the school. If you can submit a transcript then you attended the school. I hope this helps.
