UC Irvine question

I applied to UCI as an Asian American Studies major without any major preparation or foreign language at the time I submitted my application. I'm planning on taking my first Asian language class this spring and a introductory class in Asian Sociology as well. My gpa is 3.38 and I'm a California City College student, but just received a D grade in precalculus during the Fall semester (I'm retaking it right now in the winter). What are my chances?

Scratch the part where I have no major prep. I completed English which fulfills one requirement out of 7.

is the 3.38 already included with the D grade you got in PreCalc? Seem like you really are missing alot of the major prep work.

They want you to complete the 7 course pattern by the end of the spring prior to enrollment, so I don't think your chances are good on that part. GPA seems fine, and if you complete all requirements in the summer than you can apply For Winter 09'.

3.38 is including the D in Math. I looked over my transfer update form and by the end of this summer I will have 4/7 major requirements completed.

as of now:
39 completed
5 in progress this semester
19 planned for spring
8 for this summer

IGETC is pretty much done, except I need 2 semesters of foreign language. I'm going to finish the 2nd semester of Japanese in the summer
