I haven't heard a single case where a student got rejected to Riverside with 3.5 or higher GPA. I remember them reopening their transfer admission in the middle of April or May because they didn't get enough students admitted. lol. Guardiangel, unless you are missing some critical pre-reqs, I would recommend you to start celebrating right now because Riverside looks like a shoo-in for you.

Guardiangel: I'm not trying to put anyone down or anything like that. I think there is a general consensus that UCR and UCM have less prestige than other schools in the UC system. That being said, I think it is a great accomplishment just to get to a university. I also don't think prestige is the most important factor when it comes to choosing a university.

I have a 3.98 in philosophy and I haven't heard from UCD or UCSD. But then again, i haven't met any philosophy majors that got in yet, nor have any of my classmates at my CCC (only on CC did I hear about acceptances).

I think it has to be completely random. I don't get the system and for years, as long as I heard about college admissions, people have been trying to crack the code. Maybe Laguna is right, I have no clue.

I can only speak, or type, for UC Davis. The largest factor is workload. Since students with TAG agreements have previously had most of their courses reviewed there is much less new information to review before a decision can be made; therefore, these students may hear back before others. Students from 4 year colleges or out of state may receive decisions at a later date because their schools do not have previous articulation agreements unlike the California Community college system so, there is much more evaluation work needed on these files. Is this an exact science to go by, no. Files are reviewed at random and decisions will be posted when a final decision has been made.

Well in terms of UCSC only letting people know who have finished TAG and are highly qualified from a California Community College, I am NOT from a CCC nor have I done anything related to TAG. However, I was notified of my acceptance (yessss) march 15th. I am coming from a CSU (SDSU). So it couldn't have been just CCC transfers that have found out. I'm sure my record needed more evaluating than CCC transfers.

UCD, can you give us any insight on when more transfer decisions will be posted?

Has anyone ever seen any other Admission officers on here besides UCD? I never have, and even if there has been they don't frequent the board as much as UCD obviously. Plus 1 to UCD.

Unfortunately I do not have any specific dates. We are working hard to complete the transfer decisions and decisions will be released on the MyAdmissions site as they become available. I'll be sure to make a post if more information becomes available.

I said least desired based strictly on the percentage of transfer students who enroll at UCSC. If I recall correctly they are higher at merced and riverside.

ok. new theory (humor me, please):

For those that did NOT yet receive any information about your accetpance/rejection from the UC's that have already released that information... when did you update your admissions? As in, submit your grades for Fall Semester. I submitted mine again after the deadline because I received some awards for academics and community service, I thought I'd just throw it in there. The site says that some schools won't look at it after the 15th. However, my best friend had to add another class and some more information about her academics and we called UCD. They said to update it on the site and all will be taken care of, as they check it again before they go over your application.

So maybe those that updated their site asfter Feb 15th, in my case March 2, will be notified much later...

I dunno. Just another crackpot theory, I suppose.
