Need help wtih IGETC

I'm still in my first semester at this OOS CC and I'm moving to So Cal pretty soon. I'm wondering if my transferable credits at this OOS CC can be used for IGETC when I enroll in a CCC.

So far it's only two transferable since the rest are pre-requisites.

ENG 101 - Composition

History 101 (not sure on this one)

I believe as long as the class correlates with the class at the CCC, it will work towards IGETC. Say, for instance ENG 101 correlates with CCC's ENG 1A, it will automatically work towards IGETC. Ask a counselor to be sure, and talk to more than one counselor.

Definitely talk to a couple of counselors, just to make sure you don't get mixed answers. Also, make sure to ask that it if it works towards your IGETC requirements that you will be able to get IGETC certification.

Avoid incompetent people, and always remember who you talked to.

If you want to be 110%, skip the counselors and go straight to the articulation officers at your school

Yeah my counselors at my school seem to be completely clueless. I used to live in So Cal and was going to attend Santa Monica College before I moved so I'm going back there again. But I also hear counselors can be somewhat misleading at SMC as well. Couple of counselors plus articulation officers it is. Thanks.
