I want to be a successful accountant.. would going to UCSB and majoring in Business Economics with an emphasis on Accounting be a good choice? Anyone know about their program at UCSB?
UCSB BizEcon doesn't get a lot of credit on this board. The Big 4 are actively recruiting people from the economics and business portions of UCSB all of the time. I think one or two of the professors who teach economics is a nobel prize winner.
Waiver your options, I've been very intrigued with Accounting, I was going to Major in it. I feel Biz econ is the way to go, getting a Minor in accounting, and maybe even taking the CPA exam after I get a BA. Econ gives you more job prospects. well I hope so..
