One of my best friends went to UCLA a couple weeks ago and they told him how the admissions process works.

What they do is they grade each section. They give your GPA as score, your EC's a score, and your essay a score. If you add up to the right number, you are admitted.

I can't wait till admissions come out. I'm sooooo excited!

I'm just going with what they say on the site. Can't rely on the reps. For all I know, they're feeding us bs.

They don't look at the winter update for fall grades? That's it... I'm going to be rejected... I did 3 of my pre-reqs during the fall... Wow I wish someone would have told me this sooner.

Woman of Troy, the rep said not to worry if your info doesn't show up on the ursa, but does that mean if you do see it, youre more than likely accepted? Thanks for all the info btw : )

oorah87: I think if you submitted your winter grades before the update deadline, they'll probably take it in consideration.

I don't agree that they don't look at your winter or fall grades. It doesn't make sense. Seeing that getting very low grades during winter and fall can effect your GPA a lot, I have a feeling that it is important. Also, why would they waist time with having people update their application for fall and winter courses if they weren't going to look at them? The amount of time and money it costs us and the schools, it doesn't make sense.

Doctors,

Where did you get those numbers? That is interesting to know!

we find similarities between what different reps say and we give it more weight if it remains consistent.

i dunno. if they don't take into consideration fall grades... then seriously, i'll be ****ed b/c my GPA will be 0.4 points lower than it is now. I really, really dislike Professor Margarita Lopez of LAPC/Occidental College. Lady, you better not screw me over or I will... just... omg.
