uhaul? Are you moving your entire apartment?

I move around a lot so I pack light. I'm used to it.

Mode of transportation via greyhound, airplane, or train. Whichever is cheaper. Bumping a ride from someone = cheap fun road trip.

Drive. It's not a terrible drive.

If you're living in a non-dorm situation, here's a little info. Check out a map of Berkeley. The area north (northside) of campus is expensive but nice. It's also really hilly if you're riding a bike.

The area south (called, you guessed it, southside) is pretty flat relative to campus, although the campus itself is on a little bit of a hill. For most, the commercial vibrancy and easy transportation in southside is a big selling point.

The west side of campus heads toward the water, and so the grade is a little steep for bicycle riding, but really not too bad. Everything west of Shattuck is thought to be 'shady' by some (I heard some kids on campus saying that they never go west of Shattuck because it isn't safe) but this is ridiculous. All of Berkeley is vastly safer than Oakland, and much (MUCH) safer than some parts of LA. So westside may not be as posh, but it doesn't really matter.

All of Berkeley has a respectable public transportation system and is well served by BART for getting into the city. Berkeley students receive complimentary usage of all the busses as part of their tuition. Just flash your student ID, and you're in.

I will probably rent a uhaul. I have beds, tables, chairs, suitcases, books, clothes, tv......basically everything..haa
I think I have to first go there to rent an apartment, so I can move my stuffs from LA to Berk.....plus, I have a car in LA too......
I guess I may have to go back n forth by flights and cars for few times.
it's seems that going to UCLA is much easier.....it's just 30 mins away =_=

moving from azusa, ca.

completely terrified. beyond terrified.
in fact, this fear has totally taken away from the excitement to the point that i just want to accept cal poly pomona's offer and stay at home & not leave my friends or job or the place that's been so familiar.

k gonna go look into therapy at this point. =[

Guardiangel: I guess you can apply cal housing now, and the deadline is June 3rd.
I am also thinking about the housing at cal, but it seems a bit too expensive!
