Berkeley Regents/Chancellor's Scholarship

Is anyone else waiting to hear back from the Cal Scholarship office about this? I just talked to a rep up there. Here's what she said: There is a total pool of about 450 eligible 4.0 GPA community college transfers. Out of these around 10% will be chosen, and will be notified around mid-May. Wow! I wish I would have taken more time in writing my application essays. That, and your GPA, seems to be all they go by.

I am sure that the 4.0s taking an easy major will get denied.
No offense.
Engineers and chem/physics majors usually win it.

Side note: In case you are as narcotic as I am, NO it does NOT improve your chances of getting this scholarship if you have already filed your SIR.

I wonder how much of your grades will drop once you've reached Cal. Flame on
