Same thing- you just get a bigger refund since housing is not deducted from your financial aid package.

Essentially, you will have pay your first month's rent out of pocket since your refund does not come until right before school starts.

As a side note, it is highly recommended to begin renting during June or July if your want to get a decent place. It gets pretty competitive around here.

If we didn't submit a FAFSA(Parents said it was pointless, they make too much) and nothing is showing up right now, does that mean we are SOL as far as any scholarships/aid goes? Or are scholarships still being awarded?

I am a continuing student and don't even have my offer yet, so the fact that it is not showing up does not necessarily mean there's a problem.

However, if you haven't submitting a fafsa you will not get anything.
