go by wat school u will get the highest gpa and internship opportunities so that if ur gpa is low ur internship can carry u into grad schcool. idk if u would do better at sd or ucla cuz la might have distractions but on the other hand if u really like the school then choose it a few differences in ranking wont matter, so visit.
im in the same shoes for bioengineering i kno ucla would b sick to go to but u have to weigh in social life vs future and if ur willing to risk some for the other... have fun with ur decision.

I got in Eleanor Roosevelt College in UCSD. I am currently a student at UCSB, I was surprised that I got in with about 3.15 GPA? I was pretty sure I was gonna go until I found out that ERC requires a tons of GE. I am trying to switch out ERC to any other colleges except Revelle.

There is a distinct legal difference between the type of improvements a civil engineer and structural engineer can design. Having worked in the industry for awhile (both public and private), I would personality go for the structural engineering degree because they have a wider range of legal authority than a civil engineer (once you pass the licensing exam). For example, in California a licensed civil engineer cannot design retaining walls over three feet in height. They may know how to do it but can't legally stamp the plan.

I'm most likely going to attend UCSD this fall.

Can anyone tell me why I should go to Transfer Admit day?? I need to visit the campus, anyhow, but I just don't want to waste my time in orientation if it's not going to be helpful.

Why you should go to Transfer Admit Day:

1.) You'll be able to get info on housing
2.) You'll get info on what courses you'll need to take for your major

and

3.) ummmm.... you can go to the beach afterwards? lol
