| I'm actually kind of intrigued by the Lit/Writing major. If you didn't know, it's essentially a major consisting primarily of writing workshops in whatever area your interested in: short Fiction, longer fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, journalism, screenwriting... and with a few standard literature courses as well.
but i live in sd and cannot in good conscience condone going there, because i feel it largely lives up to its reputation (boring/dead). not to mention i've no idea how good the literature dept at ucsd actually is due to the fact that no one never mentions it and because ucsd is geared more towards the sciences.
