Are you talking about the Making of the Modern World courses? If so, then yea, it really does suck.

I'm just transferring out of community college this year and got into ERC. I wanted Muir college, but I guess not enough space.

I'm sorry I don't have any info on how to switch colleges (believe me, if I knew how, I'd definitely do it) =] I don't think there is a way - you just have to take what you get. The only thing I do know is that your classes will be around all of the colleges, not just @ ERC.

What's ur major, by the way?

I got into Marshal. I think the IGETC waives most, if not all our GEs. I went to the site's GEs and at the bottom of each page it says "If IGETC was taken, please disregard this". Can anyone second this?

yeah...I heard that your college really only matters in the first 2 years...transfer students have satisfied the lower division courses through IGETC, so I'm pretty sure that the GE requirements of the college don't apply to us. I am not totally sure, but this will probably be answered on Transfer Admit Day...are you going? If not, I can ask and put everyone's minds at ease (well, whoever is wondering, anyway...)

UCSD Sociology...Im in Marshall, too...my first choice

Not for ERC and Revelle, it said IGETC are welcome at ERC and Revelle but not all GE are covered

Yeah I'm going. I'll have to see what's up with that because right now I count 17 classes that I have to do once I get to UCSD: 1 prerequisite that isn't offered at any ccc's, 14 major courses for the BA and 2 unrelated upperdivs classes in order to graduate. If I need more than this, EF i'm going to be mad.
