I got this in the mail today as well. Can anyone explain what this is exactly? Is it a scholarship or financial aid? It's something legit, right? Cause according to the FAO site, I'm going to be getting a lot of money for free.

I got mine! It's legit, looks like, even though the paper notification doesn't state the amount. I'm in Burbank, maybe 45 minutes away with moderate traffic.

Guys, it's a marketing gimick. I got one too last year. I think that it's sent to everyone who was accepted who has applied for financial aid. It does look cool though (I admit it.... I kept mine even though I'm at Cal).

I don't see how anyone could have received the letter w/out submitting a FAFSA. The letter does say "your demonstrated hard work, and significant financial need."

On your award letter it says you have to submit your FAFSA before March 2nd to receive the scholarship recognition award.
