dvrjosh,

I live in Wada. You WILL have to vacate during the winter. Even worse, they charge you for that month.
Wada is part of the units since it is in unit 2.

transferpossible,

Listen to Laguna- it is virtually impossible to get a single unless you are an RA. Don't even try or you will waste one of your picks.

joyjoybear,

You are right. In fact, you are even less likely to get a parking space if you live on campus since priority goes to people who need to commute (and rightly so).

I was wondering how you all prioritized your housing app; I have Wada as number 1, but I am unsure about the other units or what to list as a transfer student --I'm not listing Channing-Bowditch with what I hear about their social environment.

One type of housing most people don't even know about are the suites. There is only one suite per building on the ground floor, but it has a loft, a kitchen, and a nice bathroom. I think people don't apply for these because they don't know about them. Apparently the resident directors used to live in them but they converted them into dorms.

They are also considered on-campus, so they come with the on-campus financial aid package.

I've never been in Channing, but I assume they're pretty comparable since they're both apartments. I believe Channing is a little more apartment style since it's in its own building instead of the high rises. Channing also has a lease while Wada is billed like the rest of the dorms.

Sorry I can't help much there. If I can, I'll try to ask someone who's been inside Channing.
