Parking at CAL

Anyone from LA bring their car to SF? How are you going to do with it? Buying parking permit?

If we choose to live in apartment, can we park our car on street?

If you live in Wada, you can buy a parking permit from the City of Berkeley for $30 per year.
RPP: Residential Preferential Parking - City of Berkeley, CA

If you live in apartments, you can still buy city permits. If you want covered and guaranteed parking, you have to pay the apt. landlords $50+ a month for parking.

With one of those permits, where exactly do you park? Do they have garages you can use or is it just on the street? And is it typically hard to find a spot, or are there plenty to go around?

You park on the street, and from what my friend tells me it may be hard to find a spot during peak hours.

Is it guaranteed parking spot on campus?

Or does anyone know anywhere you can store your car for like a week at a time? I'd really only need it once or twice a month.
