Berkeley Spring 2009 Admits

who decided to do it? and what are your plans for the fall? anyone deciding to double up or get a second major? I'm a sociology major from CCC and I will have IGETC completed by the end of this quarter. I'm thinking of either choosing History or Political Science. I'm gonna take some classes at De Anza this summer quarter, move in with my friends who got in for this fall and finish up all the pre-reqs at berkeley city college. should be legit i think.

Nizhoni -- I was a spring admit here this year. I stayed at De Anza for the summer and fall taking as many cheap history classes as I could. (last chance before it got more expensive). Do you think that you might choose one major over another?

I'm a history major here. I focus on British Imperialism. I originally thought that I might do two majors but the overall consensus here seems to be that it's more important to get independent research under your belt than a second major. I've been told that graduate admissions boards like to see a focus and research in candidates and a second major might make them question that focus. But for a law school that might not be the case. I would talk to the people at the career center here and see what they think.
