about igetc certification and transcript

when should we send the igetc certification to the uc? cc is going to send it directly, right? do they send a transcript directly as well?

You can request your IGETC certification after you have completed it.
You request official transcripts from your college website and then select for them to include an igetc certification as well. It's that simple!

I think every school is different. At my school you can file for igetc certification when you are in the middle of your last semester of igetc classes and you can file a request that they send transcripts when the current semester is done. For both transcript and igetc certification they can send it directly to the school.

If you have a transfer center at your school you should call them to confirm the process. At my school, students are required to meet with the transfer counselor for IGETC certification, which the students then take to the Graduation and Evaluation department. They will send it to the UC along with the final transcript (which must be requested separately from the Admissions department).

Seeing as how the end of the semester is probably busy for most transfer counselors, and there is a rush period for transcripts at the end of the year, I would start the process soon.
