Sample essays?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to direct me to perhaps a website of some sort that can advise me on how to write a superb transfer essay. Since I plan to major in literature, I understand my essay must display an ever greater proficiency of style and language than say, a chemistry applicant. (Though of course a good command of writing and a knack for science don't have to be mutually exclusive.)

If no such site exists, then please ignore my post and let it perish into CC archives. If one does, please pass the site along. Thank you

^^^ haha, I actually agree with you! I wrote that late...and I racked my brain thinking of the right adjective but I came up short. It seems misused right?

I guess I'll just say a really, really good essay. Bad lit major!

Well, that's why I'm still a student.

Your humble opinion is very much appreciated!

eh TBH i really have no idea how much scrutiny they would put into an essay lit major. because then again i am not a lit major. but i think that writing a superb essay and all UC advisers will say the same is to clearly show who u r. the more stuff about you and i m not talking about exaggeration or brown nosing, that u present to the reader in the least number of words, while leaving a strong impression would leave you a winner.
and then i don't know if they judge lit majors differently.
if u want good essays there should be transfer organizations like TAP and such. they usually keep a record of essays and such during their seminars and stuff you could alwaes ask if u could browse through them or smth, or just read it if they don't want to show it to u due to privacy.
i think by reading those of admitted students of ur major can u really see the standard of writing and what the admission officers are looking for...
