Help:Questions about multiple majors at different UC's

1.Can I just apply totally different majors at different UC's? Ex:Business at UCB, Communication at UCLA? If I can, how about the personal statement?
I know it is refered to your major. Do I have to write two ?
2. At UCB, Mass Communication, Business, and Sociology, which one get a better chance to be admitted?
( I am a CCC student.)

1.Yes you can apply for different majors at different school.Although Haas Business School and communication major at UCLA are probably the hardest majors to get admitted too.You must all meet the gpa requirement and have all the pre reqs done.
2.Not sure on this one it would depends on your stats.

For the personal statement, I think you'd have to go vague and talk about the overarching quality that attracts you to those majors

My stats? Perfect GPA, but not much experience except some usual part time jobs. So Mass Communication and Business, which one is easier for me?

You don't have to be vague. In my personal statement, I wrote specifically that I want to go to UCB and major in PEIS.

Not only did I get in to Berkeley, I was also accepted to UCLA as Sociology major and some other UCs too(Davis-Econ, UCSB-Intn'l Econ, Irvine-Poli Sci, and etc).

It maybe better to focus on one major and a goal rather than talking about too many things like you haven't decide (especially when you are transferring from CC.)

I wrote about my Berkeley majors in my personal statements, and got into LA, Irvine, San Diego, and more.

I'm curious too. The same stuation as MILE85, I want to transfer to cal to study sociology but in davis want the business-econ. when I write my ps, can I only focus on sociology in cal. Actually I asked davis representative before, that guy said davis admission group don't even read people's ps. But I still worry about can I only focus one.

If you do have a perfect gpa (4.0 cumulative UC-Transferable GPA), then you shouldnt have to worry. Just write a good personal statemtn and you'll get into the major. Get some of thoe EC's up too.

Did you really ask if you can direct your personal statement towards the only school that will read it?
