Were CC "chances" correct for you?

For those who were chanced by this forum before, did you find those chances to be largely consistent with the actual outcome of your UC transfer admission?

I thought they were fairly consistent though there were a handful of surprises this year, most notably biz econ for ucla.

lol i think that most people over rate people's chances
i think the more competitive the major is, the most inconsistent the chances.
just look at the haas chances, the "oh u have a great chance" seems to appear all to often

Part of the problem with chances on transfers is it's not clear if people have ACTUALLY completed all their pre-reqs.

nah i feel that any donkey that logs into the site would be bothered to deal with the pre reqs.
just that people say "i write very good essays" but i guess its "very good" by THEIR definition

back in 2006, my chances were inaccurate. Everyone thought i would not get in b/c of 19w's and my 3.54gpa..........

In terms of BizEcon- i been on these boards since 05 and biz econ always seems to be a "surprise" . Most people with a 4.0, IGETC and preqs done EXPECT to be accepted, but when the 3.5-3.8 gets in over them they are surprised and so you get a lot of "what the hell is up with biz econ questions"

The whole thing with UCLA though, as it clearly states on their website, they like to see certain things like " employment, family situation, overcoming adversity, etc, etc" UCLA wants MORE than just numbers from their transfers and as such their acceptances reflect that. That is exactly why i got in , my situation was out of the ordinary....
