Do UC automatically take the higher grade?

I was at a CSU and now taking classes at a CC. In two course at the CSU I got D's I retook them at the CSU. But didn't file the paper work for the renewal, now I would have to reapply to the csu if I want to have in renewed. Will UC automatically take the higher grade?

Since you repeated the same courses with "D" grades at the CSU level we will be looking at the most recent grades.

UCD admissions I have a strange scenario. I took part in a high school program as a junior in high school that allowed me to get CSUF credit for calculus, while I took Calculus BC. I got a C and C+. This is probably the main reason I didn't get accepted into a UC because I was majoring in engineering and I had 3 C's in math total. I wouldn't want those exact same C's, that occurred during high school, to effect my transfer application in a negative way. Is there anything I can do?
I am planning to retake Calculus this summer, since I took Statistics last year and have forgotten almost everything of Calculus and I never did too well in the first place.

GoMiamiDolphins: I would contact an admissions office so we can all the information needed to give you the proper answer. Based off the information provided it seems you have "C" grades in college courses and therefore would not be able to retake the course for better grades.
