I say go to the school that you feel the most happiest at. Disregard the name.

If you are split and content with the academic standards of both then it is time to nitpick and choose the one that you feel is tailored to your social needs.

I went to UCSD my freshman year and I just hated it, nobody ever wanted to hang out and have a social life, everybody was stressed and depressed all the time, worrying about their pre-med classes, tests, and volunteering. If you're down to study 24/7 then by all means, go there, I went back home and went to a community college and I'm transferring to UCSB this fall as a junior. Although, I never really had an interested in UCLA. But since you got in there, I'd recommend that school. It's probably better.

I hear about the social atmosphere of UCSD all the time...basically the general consensus is that it's a good fit if you just want to go to a quiet school to focus on your studies. If you want a more active social life and a school with a lot of hot girls then there's none better than UCLA with the hustle and bustle of LA and all.

I just made my decission last night and chose LA because it was closer to home and I wouldn't have to dorm, although traffic is going to be a big pain. What made my decission even harder was that I got into SD and LA for different majors. The coin also told me to go UCLA when I flipped it for fun.

Wouldn't traffic be a plus. I mean think about the rising price of gas, and cities that have a lot of traffic usually have alot of public transportation. That way if one uses public transportation he/she would actually be saving a ton of dough.

I do plan on taking the bus, but it's not like the bus won't be stuck in the traffic either

Lol yeah that's true, considering LA traffic you may actually be able to walk faster than the bus.
