Anyone participating in their CC Graduation?

Is anyone here going to be participating in their community college graduation? I thought about it for awhile, but I ultimately decided I would probably just rather wait and walk from UCLA. Any thoughts?

I'm not.. Since I'm only certified for IGETC, the school won't let me..

Whatever.. I wouldn't go anyway.

I went to mine last year. My family guilted me into it. It wasn't so bad. It was fairly short at least. I think the whole thing lasted less than 2 hours. And I even bought the nifty PTK medallion (I'm so cheesy - but I never got to wear any honors for my H.S. graduation)

I skipped high school graduation, why would I not skip this piecemeal affair?

Logos> No H.S. graduation? That is hardcore. I would agree about cc graduation. I would, however, recommend it if your family really wants to see you walk. But sitting in the sun listening to local politicians give commencement speeches isn't the most glorious way to spend a summer afternoon.

I don't really care about it, but my mom wanted me to walk so I decided a while ago that I would do it. My graduation is actually later today. Works for me, though...I get 2 dinners and presents out of it and I only spent $30 on my cap and gown...so whatever...

Indeed. The last thing I wanted to do was sit there listening to these self-serving folk, and three valedictorians. bbooorrriinnngg

My main reason for not going though is for the same reason as KitKat...I want my UC Berkeley graduation to be that much sweeter.

Plus I feel kinda weird participating in a graduation when all we're essentially doing is transferring, but to each their own.
