Advice for fighting a prerequisite

I am currently enrolled in College Algebra M05 at moorpark yet it says that I need a prereq. of either Math M03(Intermediate Algebra) or a grade of C or better in algebra at my high school. I took algebra at my high school but got a D in one of my semesters. Can anyone tell me what I could do so that I do not have to take Intermediate Algebra, I really don't have time before transferring. Also, would using an appeal for a prerequisite work the best? Thank you.

if you are already enrolled what is the problem?

they are not going to force you to take another class if you pass this class.

Also about all CCs have those math assesment tests and you could take that and see if you test into algebra, but like i said if you are enrolled just pass the course and no problems, no one is going to make you take the course b4 this course.

So even if the class doesn't start until Fall of this year I should be okay?

Sometimes after enrolling in the class, the system will automatically drop you after a few days if you do not have the pre-reqs completed. It just happened at my CC for Calc II.

best way to fight a prereq is to jab left, duck and hook right.

Works every time.
