CC really does matter?

ok, i know it says so in the sticky, but does anyone have any second or additional thoughts on it? i am stuck between diablo community college, napa valley college, and solano community college. dvc has a very high transfer rate to UCB, the highest in california according to this:

California Postsecondary Education Commission -- Transfer Pathways

and comparing it to nvc and scc, those transfer rates for 06/07 were 10-20 for those cc's compared to dvc's whopping 213 (or something like that).

any idea? or maybe dvc students are just more motivated, and or have higher enrollment at their school anyway?

does anyone think the UC's will favor certain ccs over the others? because depending on that, i might even try for los medanos college which offers an honor program tap for ucla. but based on passed data no one hardly even transfers..

I wouldn't call those "rates," since they don't indicate the ratio between how many applied and how many got in.
