Dropping Classes

So, basically this semester I'm taking a course that I'm currently failing and probably can at best bring my grade to a low C by the end of semester. This class is killing me and is the reason why I am suffering in all my other classes. Which would look better when applying for transfer to the UCs? Getting a low C in a class or dropping it all together. I'm pretty sure it's not a prereq for my major (Biology), its an upper division anatomy course. But dropping the class would put me down to 13 credits...which is pretty low. Suggestions?

Also, i will be applying from an out of state 4 year university. How do I figure out what prereqs I need, etc?

Dropping is better than a C

You can make rough course translations by looking at the UCLA website and the specific major you are looking for and all the required courses for that major.
You will not know until you are accepted what courses transfer.

I'd rather have a W on my transcript than a C. Drop the course.
