A big problem

Hi All,

I was just reviewing my submitted application when I realized that I did NOT include one course I took last Spring quarter.

I took this course online at a CC that is NOT my home CC... So I just kind of overlooked/forgot about it when reporting all the other courses from my home CC. Stupid, I know...

So I am now VERY worried that if I inform the UC's of the course they will either (1) think that I am disorganized/irresponsible or (2) think that I was trying to hide information from them (I got a B- in the course, which they may not like). In either case, I fear that it will be cause serious setbacks in the processing of my application... given that the CC was not listed in my "Schools Attended" section and that the course is a prereq to my major.

Please let me know if you have had a similar situation and how it was resolved. What do you suggest I do?

I am considering keeping silent about the course and repeating it at my home CC because I fear that making such a major change this late in the application process would cause serious setbacks to my application.

Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.

Submit a letter explaining the situation. Make sure it's done in writing and is actually MAILED out, it will then be scanned in and added to your application. It doesn't seem like the class was super important if you forgot about it (pre-req), so I wouldn't consider it a "major change" or anything drastic.

i had a similar situation; i just emailed them and told them that i accidentally forgot to include a grade. at first i was really scared to give them the impression that i was irresponsible, but they go through so many applications that i'm sure they wont remember you when time comes around to reviewing your app anyway. haha

It happens... They will appreciate the fact that you are honest, and not that you made a small mistake that many people make.

Can't you update your courses for UC applications in mid-January?
