"Next Generation" of College Confidential Here Already? (FALL 2010 Transfers)

I realize that right now, all of the Fall 2009 Transfers are anxiously awaiting their decision from UCLA and Berkeley, but I was wondering who on here is getting a jump start on their transfer like me?

By the way, 2009 transfers, thanks for the tips and what not!

It sucks that most people are finding out in less than a week and we still have another year

I know, I'm so jealous. I am so grateful for this forum. By the way, I was on this forum when I found out about Club Cal for Berkeley transfers. Anyone who is applying to Berkeley this fall for Fall 2010 should apply to this program

Is it like UCLA's TAP where anyone at CC (excluding internationals) can join? Or Cal TAP where they look at financial situation/first-generation?

From what I can tell, it's more like transfer assistance, you get to talk to admission reps and they help you with your application and everything.

I mean, if someone from the Berkeley admissions board is giving you advice on how to get in, it seems like this would give you some sort of an advantage over other applicants.

I was in your shoes last year and I remember thinking it seems like forever, but soon you will be applying and then you will forget about it for a while and then before you know it, its a month till decisions and you start regretting that you didnt get your essays checked and then you build up so much hype that if you dont get in you will hate your life. AHH ****, I hope I get in. Anyway, the year will go super fast and before you know it you will be posting exactly what I am saying to the Fall 2011 transfers!

that was sadly NOT the case for me.
at this point, i think that condemnation to an eternal limbo is far more useful a scare tactic than eternal hellfire could ever be.

So you would rather always be declined from UCLA than to not know? Damn... at least as an applicant you can tell people "I plan to go to UCLA next year.." verus "I didn't get into UCLA because I suck at life"

that's not quite it.
rather, having experienced a relatively short state of limbo, i'm more afraid of the prospect of being stuck in that state eternally than the alternative state of eternal hellfire.

i'm reading christopher hitchens right now, and can't help but mock religion at any chance opportunity.. at least for today.
