Best thing to do for UCB housing? Apt or Dorm? What are you doing?

If people get accepted, are most of you all going to choose campus dorms or try to find an apartment?

I'm sure most of you know, Berkeley campus housing is ridiculously expensive. 10 more days left, and I'm trying to help my boy out in figuring out this housing stuff...I know no one has been admitted yet, but he's got a strong chance (hopefully not jinxing it), and his friend here sorta just bailed and decided to get housing for himself. Cost is a bit of a concern for him so yeah... what do most transfers do anyway, that's what I'd like to know.

I'm unsure... if I got to UCB I will most likely dorm for my first year, I don't wanna have to deal with finding housing and roommates down there.

UCD, however, I would be getting an Apt - i am sure it is less hectic.
