cubman,

Sharing a bathroom is a skill you will need to learn so that you can effectively live with your future significant other. Trust me, it's a good skill to have.

As for your George Foreman... I don't know. On top of the microwave? It might set off the fire alarm, though...

Sopheee,

Do not take that worry lightly. I weighed over 180 lbs in undergrad. I currently weigh in the low 160s. It's a real problem.

So, I have some friends already at UCLA and already have a bit of a social network. They want me to share a room with them in Hitch next year. Should I opt for this? Can I do it through them as continuing students without waiting for the Transfer deadline? Also, how social is it? I plan to rush a frat and play club sports, but I still want to be able to meet a few people, especially girls, is it that from away from everything?

transfermeup, first of all stick with one thread. I'm tired of playing follow-the-leader. -_- Secondly, of course they will block out my name; it's J-E-N-i-T-A-L-S. :]

UCLAri, for studying abroad programs, do the oversea universities normally accept all or most applicants?

Rushdelts,

Hitch is fine.

jennnn,

If you go through EAP you will almost certainly go to your first choice of school abroad.

Rushdelts,

It's the ease of food, plus the stress, plus the crazy hours that make people gain weight.

I've been accepted as a Pre Bus-Econ Major. I have already have 2 Ws and this semester last week I've just dropped another course (Business - Investments). I will be having another W. This course is not transferable, not part of IGETC, and is not on ASSIST.org.

According to UCLA's provisional agreement I must contact them Tuesday Afternoon about this. I'm a bit worried right now, but do you think they'll rescind the offer?

Thanks..

fortune_legacy,

I sincerely doubt it, especially if the course wasn't part of the IGETC or transferable.

Hi UCLAri, I have a question about prereq for UCLA. I am accepted to UCLA and I stated in my application that I will finish 2 prereq during summer session. However, I am waitlisted for that 2 classes during summer. And from my waitlist number, I do not think I will get in those classes. I also checked other colleges but either they are not offering these courses or they are all full. Is it ok for me to take those 2 prereq classes in UCLA during Fall? I heard they only look up to the spring quarter but I don't know what to do with that 2 classes. Will they rescind my offer of admission?

UCLAtransfer,

I doubt it. I would call admissions on Monday and ask what they suggest, as they are usually quite flexible with issues that are "out of your hands."

I have a few questions:

Can someone who's admitted as an Econ major switch his/her major to Business Econ (once after transfer)?

If a person is struggling in Business Econ and wants to switch his/her major to Econ, is there any restrictions (for example, space limit) other than the GPA requirements? (2.0 for Econ I believe?)

Thank you very much.
