Don't worry, samsizzle. Virtually any other place is a better experience than the inland empire!

&rew,

Unfortunately I meant COLLEGE transcript! Can u believe it?
I SENT the transcript TWICE!
The evaluation office of my cc told me to wait a couple days before contacting UCSD again.
I have a feeling that they won't receive my transcript (again!!!)
soooooo furstrated. I think its very likely that at least it'll delay my class registration and counselling.
X_X hopeless.

OK, I called UCSD regardless of what the CC told me............and they said they just found it (in the pile) as we were talking on the phone!
amazing!
so i asked if it'll delay class registration she said maybe since they received it only a few seconds ago. then I asked when the class registration starts. she answered: it depends.
anyone knows if (how much) i'm behind schedule? have you guys set up counselling appointments already?

I don't think you're behind. I STILL haven't received any e-mail or snail mail notifications from Muir College. Anyone else heard from Muir yet? And is there a number for Muir College specifically?

I have a feeling I won't be recieving any nice acceptance letters through the mail so I can put in my scrapbook, phooey =(. I'm guessing they're doing everything online now.

Anyways, I did recieve a e-mail called "Warren College Orientation Information" with Warren's oversized logo rearing its head in front of me just right now.

Here's what it basically said:

1.) View your enrollment appointment time via TritonLink beginning November 4.
2.) The new student orientation website, http://newstudent.ucsd.edu, will be available November 9. This site contains academic information to assist you with enrollment as well as information about the On-Campus Program, December 4, 2009.
3.) All new students are required to sign-up for the On-Campus Program and submit their academic background information no later than November 23.
4.) Set up your UC San Diego email account. Check this account often as all correspondence from the University will be sent to this account.

I guess most of the local CC's have some kind of agreement with UCSD and if you satisfies the requirements of one of these transfer programs with >3.0 GPA you're pretty safe. But I guess the gpa criteria might vary depending on major... Miramar/Mesa/City colleges (under one CC district) usually recommend following IGETC/TAG...I don't know about other colleges though.
Call the CC transfer center or go to UCSD transfer site to get the most accurate info. Since you're not in SD right now you might wanna email one of the counsellers at the CC you plan to attend....usually they put their email addresses on school website. I did that b4 I started attending CC coz I was out of town that summer.
Hope it helps~~

Samsizzle:
I got this 3 hrs ago....and this is only thing I've received regarding orientation. it sounds more like a pure social event than counselling...i'm not especially interested at this pt. Is this the only orientation/academic advising we have?

Just received this email from Sixth college:

NOW - November 25: Login to the New Student Gateway to register for the MANDATORY, Transfer Student Orientation Program on Friday, December 4.

· NOW:

1) Check your Academic History to view your transcripts. Follow directions sent by your major department regarding how to contact your department advisor and create your schedule for the quarter.
2) If you did not receive any instructions from your major department, go to the Department and Program Undergraduate Advisors List and contact your major department advisor.
3) Discuss your schedule with your major department advisor. Login to the New Student Gateway and submit your academic information and your proposed quarter schedule.
4) Do not submit your academic information until you have talked to your major department.
5) You will receive an email when your college advisor has reviewed and approved your schedule.

· November 30 - December 3: Sixth College Academic Advisors are available to answer your questions through E-advising. Click on the E-Advising tab on the New Student Gateway to ask questions about your schedule.

· December 4: Mandatory on-campus Transfer Student Orientation Program. For additional information, please visit the New Student Gateway.

· December 7: Enroll in your courses using WebReg on TritonLink at UC San Diego Current Students as soon as your enrollment appointment time begins.

· January 4: First day of classes!
==========================

Has anyone received "directions sent by major department regarding how to conatct department advisor and create your schedule for quarter" yet?

Feelhopeless, not yet, though I did receive a similar e-mail like yours from Warren college.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone actually receive a scholarship award based on your UC application?
