^I'd like to know this, too. I'm taking the final for my summer class on September 8th, and I'm 85% sure I'm going get an A in the class. If it looks like I'm not gonna be notified of my grade before September 15th, should I just put an A as the grade for the class on my TAU form and submit it?

^^ well yeah thats all you can do i suppose, but your best bet would be to call the SD reps and ask them cause your case is kind of unique. i know that the site stated that the deadline was the 15th for priority. better safe than sorry, call and let us know if you do plz

I'll try to call tomorrow (though I found tonight my grade will most likely be up by the 11th. 9/15 is the priority deadline, however I think they don't guarantee that they'll accept them after the deadline (though I could be wrong I about that).

Ummm I thought we don't need to send in the IGETC Certification until we're actually accepted...

"send it in" was incorrect for me to say. I should have said "go fill it out w/ a counselor ASAP"... ASAP meaning the earliest you possibly can, there's a filing date.

oh crap i could have sworn i was told that you send in the igetc cert when you are accepted. can someone point me to a link?

also something that has been bugging me for a while, if we signed the TAG, are we truely 'guaranteed' or does it just give us more priority. i am very skeptical about it since our state is in the crisis it is in. someone also told me that they heard that SD might cancel all winter transfers too, but that sounded highly unreasonable since they would have to go through the trouble of refunding and informing everyone.

w.tf? why did they add an asterisk in every sentence that says winter 2011. this is scary, they might actually cancel it then huh? check it out.. scroll to th bottom

IGETC: for winter quarter applicants, the deadline is Oct. 21

Do TAG applicants for UCSD know earlier when they are accepted or is it random?

only TAG applicants were allowed to apply for winter, so how is it random? they will give out decisions whenever they are ready i suppose...

They did it in batches last spring(for the fall) so my guess is thats what they'll do this time.
FYI: The trend was they tend to save the rejections for last(even thought they wouldn't admit it) at least thats the impression I got from the forums on this website.
Also one of the "give aways" last spring was, they sometimes changed your housing message before they'd give you the actual official acceptance, I didn't hear of anyone who got the new housing message and didn't get in(but don't fret, there were also tons of people who didn't get the housing message and still got in.)

Kinda messy...sorry! =/
