How close of GPA to qualify for tag?

So I am in a situation where I have a gpa of 2.96 .. and to qualify for UCSD TAG its 3.0gpa.. will that still count? Probably not I am guessing?

Yeah probably not. A requirement is a requirement.

The only way I see it working is if you're EOP.

GPA and limitations

* You must earn a cumulative 3.0 minimum UC GPA earned by the end of Fall term 2009 and maintained through the end of Spring term 2010.
* Both of the UC English courses and the UC math course must be completed by the end of Fall 2009, prior to Fall 2010 admission.
