the "Extra Comments" section

I had an excessive ammount of W's to explain (two full terms, 12 credits with W's.) b/c of unpredictable shooting schedules (hollywood is like that). I spent 340 words talking about this in the Extra Comments section. was that too much? Also, I went over the 1,000 word limit by 30 word. I read on the transfer flyer that going over alittle bit (they gave the example of 12 words over) was okay. Do you think I pushed it with 30 words and that extras section?

Don't worry they will understand that "hollywood is like that." Haha!

Your W's will look bad after 3, but to what extent it will play a role in your admittance we'd need more info (ie what major, what school, your GPA, IGETC?, ect). Don't worry about the 30 words, I went 50 over and was accepted everywhere I applied. I believe if it is "excessive" (which 30 or 50 are not) they will just stop reading.

thanks for the imput

it was something like 7 W's. two terms where i withdrew from everything because i got called off somewhere. I had this sweet gig as a PA in morocco. both times i withdrew from my terms, the profs were supper cool about it and actually encouraged me to keep doing my PA job as it was unusual and helped me develope my arabic.

im just concerned they will see all those and not even look at the rest of the ap...who knows.

comp lit major.

sorry for intruding on your post but I'm assuming the words in the extra comments section is added to the total amount of words for 1,000 word limit?

The extra comment box is not added to your words in your personal statement. They are both seperate things. So your personal statement of 1030 words is fine, and your 340 words for the additional comment box is fine as well considering you have up to 500 words to use.
