| BruinCard I'm not fully aware of all the benefits of the BruinCard. On the website, it lists merchants, but the merchants seem to be mostly food places (with a few jewelry stores and supply stores). I wanted to know whether the card is good for buying books? (Since I didn't see in the merchant list a place that sells books). Also, are there ATM-type machines on campus where we can withdraw cash out of the BruinCard, or is it a deposit-only kind of system? Thanks. |

| at the machines, it's deposit-only, and you can only put in 5s, 10s, and 20s. you can also put in money with a credit card online. you can buy books with your bruincard on campus...i don't know if the bookstore in westwood takes bruincard. i do know that CVS in westwood takes bruincard. |

| Can we use BruinCard in residential dining halls (Reiber, etc.) or do those places only accept meal cards? |

| If you have a meal plan, then you use your Bruincard. It is a system to tally your remaning meals for the period. |

| - Nowhere on campus is there a place that accepts card swipes for food.
- Yes, you get a bag lunch in the dining hall.
- Sometimes, you can get free meal tickets/coupons around the area. It's a seasonal thing I think.

| No, it hasn't activated itself yet - or it shouldn't have then. For one thing, you haven't even checked in with the housing front desk and you can't until your move-in date.
Well, you can get a new card. |
