| I might feel differently if it was a double room but, yesterday, the housing director said that 80% of freshman are expected to be in triples next year, since they are renovating all the older dorms. So I'd think you'd be smart to have at least one person you know you can live with. And, if the 3rd person is a problem, you'll have a majority vote locked up at least. What's the chances that three random people will get along well in a very confined space? Probably not that great. I've heard some great stories but also some horror stories about roomates at UCLA.
The good news is that the food is excellent, supposedly ranked 2nd in the nation behind Cornell which has a culinary arts school.
