what is ucla known for?

what major/academic area is ucla most known for making its academics well respected?

It is likely strong undergrad in what it is strong in graduate programs. Here is the link that should be of help:

Not included here are Bus. School (#11), Law School (#15 if I recall), and Medical School (#13 if I recall).

Edit.. UCLA Medical School is #9 per USNWR, and Law is #16.

UCLA's School of Theater, Film, and Television is one of the three best in the nation!!!

UCLA's English program is excellent (some say almost as good as Cal's), their School of Theater, Film, and Television is great as well. UCLA's pre-med students are known as cutthroat, so the sciences are very strong there, too. UCLA is basically known as a great school for most of its subjects. Sorry if this sounds a bit half-assed haha.
