Volunteering

Are there many volunteering opportunities for health care at UCLA throughout the school year? I had trouble accessing the volunteering section of the UCLA medical center website and I was wondering if this was related to the creation of the new medical center to meet earthquake regulations. Is it possible to volunteer at other hospitals in the area without having to work over a one year timespan? (since I don't live in SoCal, so it would be difficult to work over the summer.) How does volunteering at the UCLA Blood and Platelet Center work?
