you shouldn't feel bad for people who got dykstra. it is a residence hall and if they didn't want a hall and wanted de neve or sunset they would have marked plaza. even though marking a plaza doesn't mean you're guaranteed a plaza, but dykstra is actually one of the more preferred, if not the most popular (as i've heard) residence halls.

it's all a matter of opinion; that's why there are preferences.

really? i've been to dykstra and it is the worst in my opinion. which is why they're rennovating it (from what i've heard). i have several friends who live there as well who hate it. i dunno, there are better res. halls. but of course the plus side is that dykstra is extremely social. moreso than sunset village, which i've heard is the most antisocial. de neve is called a hotel-plaza, and sunset is the senior citizen-plaza. hahaha

hitch is pretty much at the top of the hill and is a little isolated... not very social compared to dykstra...

dykstra isn't too bad. it's a little run down but what else do you expect from the oldest res hall on the hill? good things about it though - closest Res Hall to campus and very social (and it's a whole lot cheaper than a plaza room!!) i have no idea when they're going to rennovate it though - not for at least another two years b/c it'll take at least that long for Rieber's remodelling to be finished.

Anyway, wouldn't call sunset the most anti social... i think that title belongs to Hitch.

Dykstra triple

I have a sophomore friend who actually loves dykstra, and will voluntarily be living there again next year.
