Getting to UCLA, help please

Does anyone know a more cost effective way of getting to UCLA from LAX without calling a taxi? I am not familiar with LA, since I don't live in California.

driving and looking up directions on mapquest. [you will probably have to rent or buy a car, unless you're not planning to drive in college(which is NOT a good idea)]

you can probably also ride a bus.

FlyAway Shuttle - only $4 one way - from Airport to Westwood Village. I think you have to walk from there, although there may be a UCLA shuttle.

Flyaway shuttle.

There IS a UCLA Campus shuttle.
Here's the map and there should be a link telling you the schedule.
There is also a UCLA vanpool-- 6 bucks. It picks up on Crenshaw Blvd./Century Blvd (which is about 20 minutes away from LAX). So maybe not much of a great idea. But it's good to know

If its ur first time, I would recommend super shuttle (SUPERSHUTTLE - Airport Shuttle | Airport Transfer | LAX SFO DEN PHX DFW TPA JFK BWI IAD SAN DCA SMF MCI IAH LGA MSP EWR AUS SNA HOU BUR DAL OAK BNA ONT LGB RDU SJC AZA ISP PTP PIE CDG ORY BVA Airports). Expensive, but it's good for first time.
