theme communities-help!

I'm an incoming freshman staying in Dykstra hall. I just got an email the office of residential life welcoming me to theme community housing. The problem is that I didn't sign up for this housing, and I'm not particularly interested in the themes offered. So does anyone have any experience in these theme communities, or know how they affect your social life if you're not interested in the theme of the floor? Or did this happen to anyone else? I barely know anything about these communities. It has gotten me fairly down about my living situation next year.

Don't worry about it. I've heard that a lot of the theme communities don't really do much, and that a lot of people, like you, didn't actually sign up for them, so it won't really affect your social life.
