after orientation ends, schedule updates possible?

Hi, my orientation session is the 10th one, so I haven't gone yet. I was just wondering whether or not we can go on ursa to change our schedules after we have gone to orientation. Like if we have second thoughts about our GE's and such. Thanks for your help!

yea you can I went to 104 and had about 15 units... I dropped a 2 unit class and signed up for a 4 unit class so it's possible.

You can change your classes up until the drop deadline during the quarter.

^ Pretty much true.

When I went home, I dropped all my classes and signed up for different ones. ^_^;

I'm not sure if I can remember back how it worked for me before starting school but if it's anything like everyone else you should be able to. Just log on to MyUCLA and have a look at the class planner to get your schedule the way you want it and make sure everything fits. Then you can log into URSA and add/drop/swap the classes you want. It's pretty straightforward it just takes a little bit of practice. I'd recommend always swapping, that way if a class happens to fill up while youre in the process of swapping, it will let you know and if you don't want to follow through (for example you dont want to be waitlisted) than youre still enrolled in your previous class. Whereas if you drop then add a new class once your drop youre out and if you dont want to follow through with your class change you will be at the bottom of your old class wait list (if there is one).
