I hope decisions come out sooner than January 31st. I'm jealous of all the kids who know their top choice decisions by now!

Yeah, that's something that I find confusing about UNC. All of the other schools with EA/ED give out results around December 15, so why does UNC take an additional month and a half to process their own?

maybe they like to wait and see if people who applied ED elsewhere and were accepted rescind their applications?

They also say Jan 15 on their site, so I'm hoping its the latter, and then it would only be 3 or 4 weeks max.

I heard back around Feb. 5 last year, b/c there was a problem with my UNC homepage. But that was the absolute latest i knew of anyone getting a reply. I was accepted, so don't worry, hearing late isn't a negative.

invitations to participate in an online chat
do they still do those. a few years ago they would email you and invite you to ask questions during a chat. other schools have already done that and i was surprised when none came this year. or do they just do that later after all of the rd people apply?

Hmm, I received two chat invitations this year and participated in both. One was September 25th, and the other was October 25th. Maybe I was invited because I had started my application at that point..?
