Math SAT II

I saw in our admissions package where it said we needed to take the Math SAT II. I plan on taking the AP CALC AB test and was wondering how necessary it was to take the SAT II since the most it will get you is placed into Math 231, a class you would place out of with a 3 on the AP exam.

Also are you all waiting to go to CTOPS later so as to already have your AP scores?
Thanks.

so if you've taken the AP Calc AB and gotten either a 3,4,5 you do not have to take the SAT II Math?

I'm not sure that's what I was asking. I did just see on the site where it said "required." Anyone know for sure?
