Please help!!!

Never in my dreams i would had Imagined worse AS results..ABBB in chemistry, biology, maths(stats)and Applied ICT respectively, after a series of successful entries in IGCSEs in 8 subjects with 5A*,2A and a B.I feel so desperate about my results and i know why i have got these grades, because i was overwhelmed by an IGCSE subject and AICT which i took just to" impress the admission offices"(quoated from a ****,wily physics teacher),i suffered severe anxiety and when i used to walk into the exam rooms both exhausted and pessimist!!!Now,iam just taking the first step in the journey of my senior year(homeschooling since grade 10) and i dont know what should i do,iam registered for SAT REASONING in 1st october and proposing to appear for SAT2 in december.i thought about giving up A-levels and take APs but whatever i say ,i cant describe how Saudi arabia is extremely educationally disadvantaged country(iam Egyptian).iam really suffering.i am willing to exert any amount of effort as long as there is a hope to get out of here and gain admission to a US college.so please advice me.iam contemplating enteringthe full A-level in bio and math and continue A2 chem.
please advice me coz i feel defeated.
thanks in advance

Dont worry about ,it`s not a problem.
i have been preparing for the SAT just one month ago,i know that i should have started not less than a year earlier but my community considers doing A-levels much more challenging and worthy than doing SATs,it does not even realize that SAT is an admission test crucial for college admissions!!!!!!!!!anyways my eyes have come to light and i study for prolonged hours day and night and my current score is in the range of 1950 to 2000.however,iam aiming for 2100+ but the problem that my limited verbal skills hinder me from achieving my target.iam registered for the october SAT and most probably will register for the november session too.regarding my SAT subject tests, iam willing to sit for biology, chemistry and math level 2 for the december testing and US history in march(i know nothing about the subject content but i have purchased book called direct hits US history in a flash)to increase my chances of admission to an American college.my a level exam board is CIE(cambridge international examination),and i do feel so doubtful about starting my a levels right now as i dont want to screw up my SATs and squander my chances of admission.will i follow my intuition and direct all my energy for SATs and TOEFL till december or i start studying a level and risk my grades.
i apologize for my wordy response but iam so pleased that i have someone to consult and tell my story to,you have no idea how iam motivated and working hard to study and live in the US.
many thanks

Well, I think you answered your question by yourself

It seems that your community is remiss and ignorant. If you study your A levels, your SAT chances will decrease. WHY: A levels tests' CONTENT and TYPE are different.

As for your US History, you are better off without it. Examining the US History in March is useless(do it in Jan. if you can).

As for A levels, just forget about them and strengthen other aspects of your application.

Also, if you start studying your a levels in DEC., wont you feel that taking 3 A levels is an arduous task ?

thank you so much, iam truely wordless.so gratful to you.
as you said i would put the a levels aside and direct all my efforts to SATs right now.
logically,if i want to study in the US,then i should fulfil the"AMERICAN" admission requirments.unfortunately, schools here do not offer APs because educators evaluate them as "mild qualifications",if i turn upside down, i wouldnot change their minds,
and as hard as i can will try to sit for the US history in january because i read that it increases admission chances termendously.

sorry, but what you recommend me to do once iam done with my SATs.of course ,doing3 a levels in 5 months is a bit daunting, but i have done my AS level and i heared that A2 syllabus is far away shorter(but more rigorous in content).are you implying taking 2 instead of 3?

Although A2 levels are shorter(in SOME subjects) in length, they require MORE effort than AS levels. Thus, the A2 levels ''technically'' compensate for their lack of length by requiring MUCH MUCH more effort. At the end of the day, the A2 levels are NOT shorter than the AS; however, the A2 levels are harder.

In addition, doing the WHOLE A level requires you to REVISE the AS syllabus. Revising the whole A level is an even more arduous task.

I will speak PAPER wise now. You will do 11 papers(5 b, 4 m, 2 c). Which is also an arduous task. CAN you be under the pressure of 12 papers and not crack ?

So my advice is measure your capability and THEN make your decision.

Example: If you will take 2 A levels and 1 A2(chem.), you may score 3 A* or 3 B's.(High risk)

On the other hand, if you will take 2 A2(math or biology and chem.) and 1 A level(chem or biology), you can have 2 A* and 1 A or 3 B's.(LOW risk).

You need to calculate the risk and then proceed accordingly. 2 A* and 1 A will look better than 1 A* and 2 A's.

sorry for the late reply,i was very busy at the last couple of days.
thank you so much for your thorough advice, iam so glad to find such honest person like you.i started to be more decisive and break away from this dilemma.
i completely agree with you that A2s are at a higher level of difficulty than AS,but if i would go for 2 A2s and 1 Alevel i might not be able to get the 2A* AND Aas AS marks are carried forward.in other words,i greatly doubt that A2 marks would push my Bs in math and bio to As.what iam thinking, why i dont take chemistry A2 and math A-level or chemistry A2,bio alevel and math a2(eventhough i might secure B in maths).
my last question:is the number of A-levels crucial factor in the admission process?especially, iam homeschooled.
iam so grateful to your support.

Number of A levels as well as Quality is crucial. But QUALITY is more crucial.

Sorry for the late reply. Busy with my app.
