Upon passing a Foreign Language 103 course (e.g. Spanish 103, French 103, etc.), are you given credit for 6 credits on your transcript or only 4?

Taking 103 fulfills the FL requirement, but you're only given credit for 4 credits. I just checked my older son's records. he took Spanish 103.

Are you going to take the placement exam? if so, you may score high enough that if you take a higher level course, you'll get additional credits after completion.

I probably won't take the placement exam. I feel more comfortable at the 103 level as foreign language is not my strong suit.

How about EN 103? Since you get credit for EN 101 upon completion, do you end up with 6 credits upon successful completion of EN 103?

    Thank you for your help.
