| Band/Music Info Wanted
Hi. I've been accepted to UA for 2008. I would like to play tuba in the Million Dollar Band. Question: If you pass the audition, do you automatically make it into the band or do they have quotas for each instrument so that you could end up being an alternate? (I know this sometimes happens with more popular instruments like trumpet. Anyone know if it applies to tubas?)
I went to the UA-LSU game recently and they had a pregame show by the pep band and then the halftime show by the whole band. How do you get chosen for the pep band? Is this the same pep band that plays at basketball games?
Also, are there scholarships or stipends for playing in the band? Can anyone give me an idea how much these amount to?
I'm planning on majoring in business and minoring in music. Are there music scholarships available or are they only for those majoring in music?
Any info on how things work would be appreciated. |
